Certificate of insurance

A Certificate of Insurance is a document provided by an insurance company, confirming that insurance coverage has been secured for the shipment of goods. While it is not mandatory to obtain a certificate of insurance, this provides financial protection against potential losses or damages during transit. An exporter can obtain insurance from ECGC (Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India) or several other private players who provide insurance covers.
